Features

Select a Dictionary searching mode first by clicking the drop down list. You may see two type of dictionaries, English to Malayalam Dictionary and Malayalam to English Dictionary. Malayalam Dictionary contains more than 58,000 words and English Dictionary Contains around 24,000 words with its meaning. You may also click on "Google" button to search a Word in Google Search Engine.

This section helps you to find similar words or correct words. We have enabled a mini- spell checking mechanism on this section. Take a look at the example 'marjaran'. 

You may double click on any word (English or Malayalam) to get its meaning. System will automatically switch dictionary search modes to respective language. Simple isn't it?

A Malayalam Keyboard will be appearing whenever you select 'Malayalam Dictionary' or 'Google Malayalam' Mode. Click on the letters to form a word. For Example... To get "കേരളം" you have to click letters in the following order... 'ക' + 'േ' + 'ര' + 'ള' + 'ം' (kEraLam_).
eg2: തെങ്ങ്  = ത + െ + ങ + ് + ങ + ്  (thengng)

We have no formality of creating new login to just add new words. Visit this page .

You might be familiar with Google toolbar. We have created a Mashithantu Search bar for your browser like this...

This will help to you find the meaning of a word right from the browser. Yeah it is always ON. For more details click Here. For Adding this search bar to your browser, click ...here.

It is very easy to record the feedback too. If you are not satisfied with the meaning or if you found out some spelling mistake, just click on 'NO' button nearer to the result page.
We may correct the word in next release. You may use same facility for 'No meaning available' message too. It will definitely help us to update/improve the dictionary content.

Some people can understand Malayalam, but can't read it. We have arranged a facility to read Malayalam in English. Use "Display in Manglish" button whenever required.

Please refer hints section whenever you are stuck with the results. Hints may leads you to get the correct word and/or meaning.
